Our Elders

To be an Elder is to be given wisdom from life's journey and faith in Jesus Christ. Through trials and tribulations, joys and contentment, you are using the wisdom God gave you along the way to help lead people of the church and the unreached towards his grace and guidelines for us. Wisdom is a gift and you are God's tool.

I am a life-long Cherry County rancher.  I graduated from Valentine High School.  After graduating, I served two years in the United States Army being a Vietnam Veteran. My civic obligations have been serving on various organization boards and serving as a Cherry County Commissioner.  My wife, Cheryl, and I have three sons and ten grandchildren. We live on our family ranch south of Nenzel, NE. I have grown as a Christian attending and serving as an Elder of the Sandhills Church of Hope where the Gospel is presented.

I was born and raised in the Sandhills of Nebraska.  I began a civilian career serving the Dept. of Energy in Amarillo, TX, which is where I met my wife of 28 years, Kimberly.  We began our family in Amarillo before deciding that Nebraska was where we wanted to raise our four children.  We moved to Ogallala in 2000 and owned and operated two businesses before I was called to fulltime ministry at New Hope Church.  We moved back to the Sandhill’s and S.C.H. in 2015 and I'm currently employed at Danielski Farms in Valentine.  Kimberly and I love serving, sharing the gospel, and share a focus on discipleship.

I am a lifelong resident and rancher of the Sandhills of Nebraska. I gave my life to Christ as a result of a retreat I attended in my 40s. I have served on the elder board for many years and currently lead an Every Man a Warrior Group in my community. I have a wonderful life with my wife of 38 years. We have two children and six grandchildren. I believe Sandhills Church of Hope strives to show Christ’s love to the community.

I have been a member of Sandhills Church of Hope since 2015. I have been a Christian for the past 30 years. I’m married to Nicole and we have 3 kids - Nevaeh, Will, and Austin. We live and work south of Nenzel at Gale Cattle Company.  We have a passion to see the Gospel of Jesus go to unreached people groups and to be disciples of Jesus who make disciples in this broken world
